Each dark line encases a rich color within, gently directing the viewer to take in the intricate work slowly.Ĭreated in 1975, this color lithograph on Arches Paper is hand-signed by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 – Palma, 1983) in pencil in the lower right margin and inscribed ‘epreuve d’artiste’ (artist’s proof) in pencil in the lower left margin, aside from the numbered edition of 80 printed by Mourlot, Paris and published by Maeght Editeur, Paris. This work is immediately recognizable as one of Miró’s. The forms dance before us, adding liveliness to the abstraction.
